> Despite having committed the crimes

I love how American jurisprudence is basically a bunch of rich old people ready to argue endlessly about abstract points of justice in response to a convicted delinquent / burglar / car thief getting convicted of raping this lady after giving the police a signed confession about it, but THEN, when they found out that he confessed without knowing he could have a lawyer, they overturned the conviction, requiring another trial which threw out the confession and returned the exact same result.

It's almost as though the entire criminal justice system is an elaborate game played between the suspects and police in court. Convictions are the way the two sides keep score, and when the police commit a foul, it means the suspect must not have been guilty that day.

I never heard about the waiving Miranda rights issue. So I have learned something. Should check up how things stand in my country.

Are correct about the mandates, prosecute enforcement representatives of the court for Ryan. The reason our public schools suck is because right wing nut jobs have sabotage them. It has nothing to do with “the government“. As a song, private group called school choice, and another tool, to subdue the masses .

All of this happens, and only have us, with our “Omwe the People “ consent. You know that, right?

Man...so I'll never get to send the police on an esoteric wild goose chase to find the Cthulu cult hidden in the back of Kroger 😔

Hey Kasimir, can you extend my apologies to the person you responded to here? I'm afraid I may have really bothered them with these comments, and I just hope they're feeling OK.

Sure thing! I'll do my best to find them and let them know.

Oh it's easier than Miranda: Just don't talk to the police. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-7o9xYp7eE

Miranda is a bunch of complex jargon that you know your life has taken a wrong turn if you're hearing; at least it isn't as bad as tax forms, which is how the government rewards you for doing things right.

S-tier life hack: Or, move to a red-tribe area, where the police are a lot more trustworthy. Red tribe cops will pull you over to warn you your headlights are out or remind you you didn't signal, and then send you on without a ticket. Blue tribe police have pulled me over and given me speeding tickets when I wasn't speeding, and held me up at gunpoint for minding my own business.

> It wasn't until I was in a red-tribe area that they started targeting me.

Very weird, unless something about your look, or your car, gives away that you're Not Like Us.

I've known police, and aspiring police, from both areas. My own experiences are very clear that the red tribe police pursue a conscious strategy of outreach and community service, because they always need intel, while the blue tribe police are distrusted to begin with, and swimming in so much crime so intel is just not much of an issue.

Interestingly, I recently read this: https://manhattan.institute/article/red-vs-blue-crime-debate-and-the-limits-of-empirical-social-science which has some relevance and might possibly relate to your different experiences? When I say "move to a red tribe area," I mean county/city, not state. From the very first that my family moved out to rural / Republican / less educated / more homogeneous / redland, I was far to the left of most people I talked to, but remaining friendly and polite was good enough.
